Hi there,
I’m James, and welcome to my blog! A couple of years ago, I thought I’d start a blog. This was mainly because I recently acquired a netbook (when they were all the rage) and almost instantly had this image in my head about blogging from a coffee shop like you see in the movies… That soon evaporated, once I realised I couldn’t afford coffee on a regular basis, and said netbook now belongs to my parents: I did a part-exchange for a brand new Thinkpad at Christmas 2011 to see me through university.
Alongside my A-level studies (History, Geography and English Lit), I enjoy most things tech-related - although I do have a particularly keen interest in photography, in part kindled by DigitalRev TV on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/digitalrev), but also due to my love for aesthetics. I’m also a massive fan of tea (who isn’t?!), and play racquet sports (and go road cycling) when the weather is right. After studying music to AS level in my own time, I’ve also become quite a keen musical composer – I play the Alto Sax and the drums too, but composing is probably my strong point.
5 desert island items? My Sony A500, 35mm f1.8 lens, a Thermos, iPod and Miles Davis’s “Kind of Blue” album. (That is assuming pets aren’t allowed…)
